Dr. Almurtadha Mula Kh is a UK-trained Medical Oncology Consultant currently practicing at American Hospital Dubai. He began his medical career in Iraq before completing over a decade of specialist training and consultant practice within the UK's NHS system, culminating in his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Medical Oncology from the General Medical Council.
His approach to cancer care centres on precision medicine — using molecular and genetic testing to individualise treatment — combined with a close, communicative relationship with patients and their families. He has carried this philosophy from the NHS into leading UAE cancer centres, including American Hospital Dubai.
Alongside clinical practice, he is active in oncology research and clinical trials, and shares cancer-awareness education with the public.

Dr. Almurtadha practices within the Cancer Care Centre at American Hospital Dubai, part of a full-service oncology programme covering diagnosis, systemic anti-cancer treatment, and multidisciplinary care across solid tumour types. His role focuses on medical oncology — chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted and hormonal therapies — working alongside surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and pathology colleagues. He joined American Hospital Dubai in April 2026, following two years as a Medical Oncology Consultant at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, and prior to that, consultant and registrar posts within University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust in the United Kingdom.
